Talking about the Gancanagh’s Bride, the World of Whynne, and When the Next University of the Unseen book will be released.

Let me start off by saying surprise.

Or not surprise.

I don’t know.

If you read my blog you’ve gotten hints that the World of Whynne was coming, but I never really elaborated much on it.

What the world of Whynne is is a monthly standalone novella series answering some questions about lore, expanding on some of the fae in Whynne, and leading up to… something.

I think most of you can pretty much guess what that something is, but, whatever, we’re going with it.

A lot of this is because it’s been a very long time since we’ve been to Whynne and I wanted to do some shorter warm up books to fill the gaps inbetween larger releases. Around Novella number five there will be a larger news item related to Whynne formally announcing the release date of a book that has taken too long, but over all I have about twelve of these novellas planned with the intention of releasing compilations of them as the print editions.

If you want to have a say in one of the upcoming novellas, you can stop over to the Whynne tab on my blog and vote!

Just about every World of Whynne book will also be prefaced by a blog post expanding on fae lore for readers, which you can see in the case of the Gancanagh’s bride right here.

Once we hit the twelve book mark, then we will do another poll and possibly choose another series to get some mini novellas from just for fun, which will be interesting considering the fact that this year, I will be cleaning house and dumping a bunch of WIPs I wanted to work on.

It’s sad but true; every now and again I have to throw away a bunch of proposed ideas for things that are more marketable, which means goodbye potential pirate book and my desire to write a ghost romance.

Hello the weirdest project you’re ever going to hear about that may or may not slightly tie into the idea of a more grown up Whynne along with a few other more on brand ideas that come from the dreaded market research that I had to do for a month.

Please note that I am crying as I shelve my dystopian romance and so forth, but at the end of the day, my dog has to be fed and he’s old so he only eats expensive canned food.

Sad, but, a necessary evil. Chosen, my dystopian romance will live on the shelf next to the troll king’s bride until the market is more favorable.

But you know what won’t live on the shelf? Probably the University of the Unseen book that’s coming in late september.

Anyway, thanks for reading my blog. I’m on my way to urgent care for a migraine that is somehow causing a nose bleed.
